SURF DAWG CLINICS
Surf Dawg Skill Development Clinics are held at various times throughout the year. These clinics and groups within each clinic are carefully tailored to the specific skill levels of the attendees - beginners, intermediate and advanced players.

We traditionally hold a series of Pre-Season Skill Clinics and Training Sessions on Sundays in the fall prior to the start of the Winter Youth Season and again on weekends in the early spring prior to the Spring Youth Season.
BEGINNER CLINICS
STEP ONE
Our Surf Dawg Beginner Clinics are direct descendants of the original Grab A Stick clinics we held in 2004. These carefully programmed 1-2 hour sessions are intended to provide first-time players with proper instruction in the basic lacrosse fundamentals - holding the stick, picking up ground balls, cradling, catching, throwing, dodging, defending and shooting.

After one or two of these sessions, most participants are ready to play wall ball on their own and progress into our skill clinic series.

Beginner Clinics are held at various times throughout the year, but can also be organized upon request for small groups of kids interested in learning the game together with friends.
Set up your own small group beginner clinic.
SKILL CLINICS
STEP TWO
Our Surf Dawg Skill Clinics are the next step in skill development opportunities.

In order to attend a Skill Clinic, a player should have attended at least one Beginner Clinic. Our Skill Clinics tend to move at a faster pace and incorporate drills and techniques that require some experience and a reasonable level of stick skills - the ability to scoop ground balls, cradle, catch and throw with confidence.
