THE COACHING STAFF

Coach Barrow grew up in Landenberg, PA (outside of Philadelphia) and played college lacrosse from 2012-2015 at NCAA Division I St. Joseph's in Philly. He currently works in wealth management at JP Morgan in Newport Beach.

Coach Cassi played goalie in college at King's College in Pennsylvania. He moved to California in 2011 and began coaching with the Surf Dawgs and at CDM. He is the founder of Focus Lacrosse, a cutting-edge goalie development platform.

Coach Gossen is a standout midfielder on the CDM high school team. He is a former Surf Dawg and still ranks among the top 3 all-time in the Surf Dawgs' Wall Ball test.

Casey Mix was a team captain, US Lacrosse All-American, and a member of the 2012 undefeated CIF Championship team at CDM. He went on to play college lacrosse in the MCLA for the nationally-ranked Gauchos at UC Santa Barbara.

Coach Stagnitta is the director of Mad Dog Orange County and an assistant lacrosse coach at CDM. He grew up in New Jersey and went on to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins and took a fifth year (NCAA Covid Eligibility) at Jacksonville University.

Coach Zink grew up in Baltimore, MD and played high school lacrosse at McDonogh. He went on to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the University of Delaware. He is the godson of Surf Dawg founder G.W. Mix.

Coach Burkhart grew up in Newport Beach and played at CDM. He went on to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Loyola University in Baltimore and was drafted by the MLL's Boston Cannons.

Coach Greenhall was a team captain, All-American, and member of CDM's 2016 CIF Championship team. He went on to play college lacrosse in the MCLA for the nationally-ranked Panthers of Chapman University.

Coach Mayo played his high school lacrosse locally at Tesoro and went on to play collegiately at Concordia University in Irvine, where he helped lead his team to the 2017 MCLA Division II National Championship.

Coach Rogers grew up in California and played high school lacrosse at Poway (San Diego area). He went on to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

Coach Walker grew up on the East Coast in Roslyn Heights on Long Island, where he attended Chaminade High School. Coach Walker played NCAA Division I lacrosse at Providence College in Rhode Island from 1997-2000.
