PLAY WALL BALL

Hit-the-Wall.jpg

GRAB A BALL. FIND A WALL. GET BETTER.

Improving stick skills is a critical part of a player's development and "hitting the wall" is the easiest and most efficient way to go about it. The best lacrosse players in the world began developing their stick skills by playing wall ball and, even as professionals, they continue to incorporate a wall ball routine into their pre-game preparations and daily training sessions.

The best part about wall ball is that you can significantly improve your stick skills by yourself - all you need is a stick, a ball, a wall, and some self-motivation (tunes can be helpful as well). Create your own wall ball routines and have fun. 15-20 minutes a day for a week or so is all you will need before you will begin to see dramatic improvement in your stick skills.

The Surf Dawgs have developed a Wall Ball Challenge program to provide young players with benchmark goals to work toward as you go out and hit the wall. With this program, you can periodically check your progress against the stick skill Levels we have established. You can download our Wall Ball Challenge program in PDF format using the links below. We have also included a few Wall Ball videos for inspiration. Be sure to check out the Top Five All-Time Surf Dawg scores below.

So, grab your stick and a ball, find a wall, and start getting better.
